
Really, I don’t know what the point there might be in talking about All-Star Superman #9. I picked it up, looking for a quick read, something I’d been putting off (All-Star Superman, not a quick read) and here it is: it’s just too good to really talk about.
I mean, I don’t know what Grant Morrison’s doing here, why everything else he doesn’t isn’t so perfect. But this is a perfect comic book.
It wraps up everything Superman should be about. From selflessness, horror at man’s inhumanity to man… and some bald guy with a toupee trying to light Clark Kent’s jacket on fire.
It’s perfect.
