The Outsiders go to space–and are apparently the only superheroes on the planet, as Superman, Wonder Woman or Supergirl could have handled these issues’ crisis in a matter of moments–and Halo falls in love (again). … Maybe there’s some problems with suspense (there isn’t any–it’s unlikely Halo’s going to die after being kidnapped–and it’s kind of odd how easily she’s taken out), but it’s fine.

DC cheaped out on the art for this annual apparently, as Dave Ross’s figures occasionally look like something a kid might do. His faces, though not good, at least show some sign of work.
For Metamorpho’s wedding, Barr does a sequel to an old Metamorpho comic (the second appearance), which I suppose ought to be cool. […]

Alan Davis’s art gets a lot better–he does a good Batman in daytime here, not the easiest thing, as well as a good bright blue Batman (I realize he didn’t realize the colorist was going to go cornflower blue on the cowl, but Davis manages fine enough pencils the odd color choice can’t hurt it).
